Norris Lake

Norris Lake is a reservoir in Tennessee, created by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 1936 by the Norris Dam on the Clinch River to provide flood control, water storage, and hydroelectric power. Named after Senator George W. Norris, it is the TVA's first major project and features over 800 miles of shoreline surrounded by mountains, making it a popular destination for recreation like boating, fishing, and water sports. The lake is known for its clear, clean water and offers numerous public access sites, including state parks and marinas.
