Deer Haven: Lakefront, Gentle Slope, Private Dock

We did not have a 5 star stay. While the house was really cute we did have a couple issues. With the rain this past Saturday night multiple areas of the house started to leak- the pantry and several spots in the basement. The floor was so wet to the point it was splashing up when we walked on it and my son’s suitcase was soaked! Luckily the rain stopped in the middle of the night. Otherwise I feel like it would’ve been even worse. I also feel like the owner/ management knew of these issues as the pantry floor and basement baseboards had obvious damage that had been there awhile. Upon arrival, there were plumbers there fixing a leak in the master bath! We paid for early check-in and the owner claimed he had no idea. My friend did not want to sleep in her room in the basement due to possible mold issues. Also on our final night a creepy man - possibly a neighbor but not sure who he was- was out at 1am standing in our yard- almost on our front patio deck. It wasn’t clear what he was doing possibly trying to feed the deer, but he kept looking right into our windows. this was beyond scary and frightened all the kids! Otherwise we enjoyed the Home. It had a lot of everything we needed and the dock was excellent. It could definitely use some renovations and updating. Sadly with the flooding and possible mold issues I don’t think we would stay here again, which is unfortunate because it’s a great part of the Lake! I emailed these issues to management and have received not a single reply or apology. Piss poor customer service if you ask me!
